As Morning Pointe of Hixson (TN) prepares to celebrate 10 years of serving seniors across Hamilton County and their families, two longtime residents reflect on their time at the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community. Resident Marty Landis moved into Morning Pointe with her husband on November 26, 2010, nearly nine years ago. When asked what she most enjoys about living there, Landis replied, “I have loved all of the special musical performances throughout the years, and I appreciate the staff’s professionalism.”
Resident Kay Tornow has called Morning Pointe home for over eight years, first moving in on August 17, 2011 with her husband. “I think it’s wonderful that the community is about to turn 10,” she said. “I love how safe and secure I feel here. It gives me peace of mind to know that I am taken care of, and I have made some great friends while living here. Of course, the good food is also a plus!”
Morning Pointe of Hixson will celebrate 10 years of service with a grand anniversary reception and program on Tuesday, October 29 at 5 p.m. Family members of current and former residents, community partners, associates, and city and community leaders will fill the assisted living and memory care community’s halls to observe this important milestone. The Hixson High School color guard will perform the program’s opening ceremonies, and guest speakers will include Hamilton County commissioner Greg Martin, Morning Pointe Senior Living co-founders Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow, and family members of Morning Pointe residents both past and current. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment will also be provided.
“It is thanks to the hard work of a highly qualified team of associates, strong community partnerships, and the support of our residents’ family members that our Morning Pointe assisted living and Alzheimer’s communities have continued to be a resource for the growing senior population,” said Morning Pointe Senior Living president and co-founder Greg A. Vital. “Congratulations to Morning Pointe of Hixson on 10 years of serving. Here’s to many more!”
