Jenny Comstock of Amedysis Home Health prepares to introduce her husky, Knox, to the residents of Morning Pointe of Tullahoma’s (TN) Lantern wing. Every week, volunteers like Comstock share their pets with the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s residents, as spending time with animals has been proven to reduce anxiety and depression in seniors. “We are so grateful to all of our volunteers who brighten our residents’ days by sharing their animal friends,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Jennifer Boals.
