ATHENS, Tenn. — Morning Pointe of Athens residents rolled out the red carpet for American Idol finalist Adam Sarmento, who performed a concert at the assisted living community.
The talented musician sang songs from various genres, but never missed the chance to sing a birthday song to a resident celebrating her special day. During his visit, Sarmento spent quality time with the seniors, sharing his personal testimony about his road to American Idol fame and the obstacles he overcame.
He will return to perform during the Morning Pointe Foundation’s scholarship reception and Family Night on August 24 at 6 p.m. Morning Pointe of Athens is located at 1025 Crestway Drive.
Morning Pointe invites musicians from all genres to bring the joy of music therapy to the residents as part of the life enrichment program.
