Fran Gray, South Central Tennessee regional coordinator for Alzheimer’s Tennessee, paid a visit to Morning Pointe of Tullahoma (TN) dressed as turn-of-the-century children’s author Beatrix Potter to educate the residents of the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s residents on Potter’s life and works. In addition to being an author, Potter was also an accomplished naturalist, conservationist, and artist. “The residents found Fran’s talk fascinating!” says life enrichment director Jennifer Boals. “Many of them remember The Tale of Peter Rabbit from their childhoods but loved learning more about the life of the author. We are so thankful to have thoughtful volunteers like Fran who are as committed to seniors as we are!”
