Morning Pointe of Franklin, in partnership with Simple Solutions Home Care LLC and Malia Nation, invites the Williamson County senior community to exchange books with other avid readers, while meeting and greeting local authors.

Every first Thursday, from 10:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m., cheese, crackers and fruit will be served, as bookworms mull through a variety of titles during the monthly Books and Brunch meeting.

Carole Webb Slater, author of “Letters from the Heart,” will speak August 4, at Morning Pointe of Franklin, located at 1005 Generations Way. Slater’s story recalls 250 letters chronicling the life, family and romance of a pilot training to fight in World War II.
