The residents of Morning Pointe of Columbia (TN) enjoyed a game day with volunteers from Columbia Academy. The assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community partners with Columbia Academy to offer students service opportunities, which count towards the students’ required community service hours for each semester. “We have Columbia Academy students visit us at all hours during the week and on weekends,” says Bridget Barger, the Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Columbia. “They never fail to brighten our residents’ days, and we love building intergenerational relationships with them.”
