The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Louisville (KY) resident Lois Dearinger shows off her flexible side during a chair yoga class at the memory care community. “Exercise is a big part of The Lantern’s daily activities. We use music, dancing, walking, tossing, and anything else that we can to keep our residents moving and grooving,” Lantern program director Dorothy Black explains. “Residents like Ms. Lois show us that age is just a number and if we keep moving our bodies, our bodies will keep moving for us!”
