RICHMOND, KY — Nancy Finlay, Morning Pointe of Richmond resident, was a small animal veterinarian for 32 years. In 1951, she became the first woman to become a licensed veterinarian in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Today, a Springer Spaniel named Cooper returns the favor to Finlay through the pet therapy program at the personal care community. He enjoys showing off his new tricks and cuddling with Finlay who looks forward to Cooper’s visits with his owner Megan Martin.
Morning Pointe invites pet owners, zookeepers and animal shelters to bring their furry and four-legged friends to enjoy the “purr-fect” afternoon with the residents as part of the life enrichment program.
