Morning Pointe of Spring Hill (TN) resident Mary Santora can’t wait to get her hands dirty as she helps plant mums for the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s garden. After several weeks of cleaning out their raised flowerbeds, the Morning Pointe gardening club was finally able to plant mums and pansies this week. “We’ve never planted mums or pansies before, but the residents had such a good time!” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Emily Gleaves. “Many of them had gardens at their own homes before coming to Morning Pointe, so it’s really rewarding to be able to keep them connected to their old hobbies.”
