Recently, the high school choral ensemble from Grace Baptist Academy in Chattanooga performed for the residents of Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford (TN). Under the direction of Melissa Ferrell, the students sang a selection of songs to entertain the assisted living community’s residents.
“The residents were wowed by their beautiful voices! We always look forward to their visits and fill the activity room each time they perform,” says Holly Holcomb, the Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford, of Grace Academy’s choral ensemble. “Here at Morning Pointe, we strive to incorporate Intergenerational programming whenever possible because it doesn’t just add value to our residents’ lives—it allows the young people who come to visit us to learn from our seniors.”
