Morning Pointe of Athens (TN) residents Peggy Watson, Louise Hughes, Sam Shelton, executive director Crystal Sutton, caregiver Megan Akins, and resident Rheta Driggers gather around to snap the assisted living community’s last crop of green beans for the year. Residents are provided seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms and grow community gardens as part of Morning Pointe’s “Farm-to-Table” initiative. “Many of our residents like to be helpful and have really enjoyed snapping green beans while they are in season—but they’ve enjoyed eating them most of all!” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Diane Hutsell with a laugh.
