Twenty-eight years ago, five women became friends while living in the same neighborhood.
Today, the Hickory Wood Tea Ladies — Ann Durall, Lori Chmielewski, Mabel Sumner, Rose Wilkes and Dixie Andrews — continue to treasure their friendship, sharing wonderful stories of the fun times they enjoyed together.
And when Sumner moved to The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lenoir City (TN), their friendship moved in with her.
As part of the Meaningful Day™ program, the memory care community encourages residents to spend ample quality time with close friends. The Hickory Wood Tea Ladies never miss a beat as they continue to make memories they’ll never forget.
