Indian Creek Middle School student Chayton and Morning Pointe of Franklin (IN) resident Margie Crews show off the winter decoration they created by painting the outside of an empty wine bottle and filling it will Christmas lights. Once a month, the students visit the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community to volunteer. The winter decorations, which were handcrafted by the students and the residents, will be auctioned off to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. “Everyone enjoyed this project,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Mary Beth Piland. “Seeing their artistic visions come to life filled both the students and the residents with so much pride and confidence.”
