FRANKFORT, KY — Student volunteers from Kentucky State University’s Circle K Club spent the afternoon with residents at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Frankfort.

Circle K is an international collegiate service organization and a sponsored leadership program of Kiwanis International.

As part of the Meaningful Day™ program, The Lantern at Morning Pointe invites student groups to visit the memory care community. While the young adults and seniors are years apart, the intergenerational activities promote engagement and connections to be enjoyed by all.

Manicures, crafts, brain games and more were among many of the activities shared by the students and residents, as they look forward to cultivating their new partnership for years to come.
