Thank You

I wanted to write to thank everyone at The Lantern at Morning Pointe, Frankfort, KY for all of the care and love given to my mother and my family during her time there. The amazing staff at The Lantern did so much to help her try to find her joy. They updated us as to her activities, and told all of the funny mom stories to us. This helped me tremendously, as much of my time has been spent living with the guilt of knowing mom had always expected to be able to live out her life in my home. They always listened when I needed an ear and did everything they could to reassure me that I was not a terrible daughter. This was NOT their responsibility, but they were always there for me. Rather quickly I considered them friends, and eventually, my extended family. I wanted you to understand the depth of love and caring and appreciation we have for everyone there. They gave us kindness, love, and comfort, giving the same to mom. Throughout this most difficult year, I would not have wanted mom to be anywhere else. I am forever grateful and will never forget anything they did for us all. They are truly a part of my family now.
