Lorena Strange was born to Paris and Bertha Murphy on February 6th, 1936. Raised in Shelby County, Lorena and her four brothers and two sisters enjoyed life on a farm. At a young age, Lorena developed a love for all animals. Growing up Lorena attended Peaks Mill and Bald Knob schools. Later Lorena moved to Frankfort, where she worked at a local laundry mat. While working there, she met Albert Strange who would soon be her future husband. After they married, they went into farming, something Lorena was an expert at. Albert and Lorena had a son Jeff Strange who they raised in Franklin County Lorena had a lot of hobbies but her favorite was showing horses. She use to show horses at Bridgeport, University of Kentucky and local county fairs. In her lifetime, she has won several prizes for her horses. Besides horses, Lorena loves all things Elvis. She has about every record of his and she also has a customized Elvis lamp in her bedroom. She claims to be Elvis’ number one fan. Lorena is definitely a vibrant individual with a big heart to match! She is loved by everyone.
