COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. — Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove invited Kevin Becker, author of “Ostrichsized: Finding Heaven in the Midst of Shell”, to the assisted living community. Becker shared with the residents the inspiration for his novel, which borrows from his 25 years of ministry experience. Copies of his book were sold, as the seniors welcomed his discussion.

Morning Pointe invites local authors to share their stories with the residents as part of the life enrichment program.

On July 6, David Carroll from WRCB-TV speak about his second book, “Volunteer Bama Dawg,” — a “funny,” comical and sentimental memoir featuring more than 60 photographs about his career and life in the Tennessee Valley.

The longtime broadcaster is an evening anchor on WRCB Channel 3 and hosts the Big 95.3 FM weekend radio show “The Vinyl Express.” He has a weekly column in six local newspapers and is the author of the pictorial “Chattanooga Radio and Television.”

Books will be available for sale. Call (423) 396-6999 for more information.
