TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Morning Pointe of Tuscaloosa residents received their first delivery of fresh produce from Katie Farms — its newest “Farm to Table” provider. The assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community formed a partnership with the local farm to offer fresh fruits and vegetables to seniors.
To celebrate their shipment, Alexis Stewart, Lantern program director, and Pam Prentice, resident assistant, fried up thick slices of green tomatoes to a crispy golden brown. The associates then treated the residents to their favorite snack, with flavorful memories in every mouthful.
Behind every Meaningful Day(tm) is a team of associates who are making a difference in the lives of seniors. To learn more about associates who are making their mark, visit www.morningpointe.com/makeyourmark.
