Morning Pointe of Lexington (KY) executive director Kristi Peters, community relations director Tamara LaBore, regional community relations and marketing director Amber Lakin, The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lexington community relations director Alex Strein, Ginger Perkins of Southern Elementary School (back row), and resident Mary Lou Chambers (front row, center) celebrate the success of their recent school supply drive. For a month prior, the personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care campus collected donations of crayons, pencils, backpacks, notebooks, erasers, and more for local children in need before distributing the supplies at a back-to-school event. “The children were very enthusiastic about our selection of backpacks, which featured superheroes and cartoon characters, and the residents were very happy to help in this community event,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Kesia Hall. “We are really proud of how our campus pulled together to help students in our area, and we hope to host a similar event next year!”
