FRANKFORT, KY — June is National Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Month, and residents at the Morning Pointe of Frankfort campus wanted to celebrate their Farm to Table dining services program by planting different types of tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, and peppers. As soon as they’re ready, the seniors at the personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care communities will enjoy a big, hearty and homegrown salad.
The residents are reaping the many benefits of gardening as well as fresh, local foods as part of the life enrichment and Meaningful Day(tm) programs.
