LOUISVILLE, KY — Morning Pointe of Louisville campus residents celebrated the beginning of summer and the Alzheimer’s Association’s Longest Day with a special “rock-a-thon.” Community leaders and special guests helped raise $700 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association during a day of fun and engaging activities. Every year on the summer solstice, caregivers, families, activists and supporters from around the world team up with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.
The seniors at the personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care communities enjoyed visiting with guests from the Young Hearts Theatre, the University of Louisville Cardinal, Louie the Lightning Bug from LG&E and even the Chick-fil-A Cow and Parkie from Park Community Credit Union.
Morning Pointe partners with local organizations to support causes that promote wellness and quality of life for seniors as part of the life enrichment and Meaningful Day™ programs.
