COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Morning Pointe of Columbia resident Bobbie Smelser spent time with “Gus” on a Friday afternoon.

As part of the Life Enrichment Program, the assisted living and memory care community embraces “pet therapy” inviting shelter groups and volunteers to bring furry and four-legged friends to meet the residents.
