A group of residents from Morning Pointe of Franklin (IN) stand in the presence of history at the barn of residents Fred Linville and Helen Linville. Over the past 60 years, the Linvilles have collected thousands of historical artifacts, especially those pertaining to local farming history, which are now housed in a large barn on their property. The couples’ children are currently in the process of labeling and cataloging each artifact and invited the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s residents to tour the makeshift museum. “Fred and Helen just beam with pride when they talk about the joy they receive from seeing people learn about local history,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Mary Beth Piland. “We are so thankful to them for sharing their love of history with us.”
