RICHMOND, KY — Morning Pointe of Richmond residents rooted for their favorite teams, as they threw a tailgating party for the East Kentucky University and University of Kentucky game. The personal care community invited little “cheerleaders” from EKU’s Elementary Education and Dalinda Dents’ class to enjoy face-painting to get geared up for the event.

All proceeds from the party benefited the Morning Pointe Foundation Scholarship to be awarded to an EKU nursing student. The 501(c)3 nonprofit has created new partnerships in the Kentucky Commonwealth, awarding scholarships at Ashland Community and Technical College and Bluegrass Community Technical College to support nurses pursing careers in geriatric care.

Morning Pointe invites youth of all ages to spend quality time with the seniors as part of the life enrichment program.
