Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford (TN) Executive Director Cody Harvey is a multifaceted man. A registered nurse, Harvey describes himself as someone who is passionately devoted to the care of seniors and veterans. However, Harvey is also a musician who has been playing the banjo for 20 years, a skill he puts to use when he performs with Mountain Cove, the bluegrass band that he co-founded in 2008 and continues to manage to this day. Fortunately, his position at Morning Pointe allows Harvey to combine his passion for serving seniors with his love for music—most notably when he entertains the assisted living community’s residents with his impressive picking skills and catchy banjo tunes.
“I’ve been playing the banjo since I was five years old. My father plays the banjo and started taking me to lessons at that age. I haven’t stopped since!” says Harvey with a laugh.
“We’re proud of the work Cody is doing at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga – Shallowford,” says Greg A. Vital, the CEO and President of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “He brings a lot of himself to the role, using his unique talents and strengths to give our residents the best service possible.”
