Chattanooga, TN- December 12, 2013– Surrounded by barrels full of toys, Independent Healthcare Properties (IHP)and Morning Pointe Assisted Living associates, family and friends across the Chattanooga and Athens area came together once again to celebrate their annual toy drive to benefit the Samaritan Center.
The five participating assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care communities have collected over $10,000 dollars in new toys over the last four years. “It really warms my heart to watch our residents and associates come together and put so much time and effort towards this special cause,” said Greg A. Vital, President and CEO of Morning Pointe Assisted Living and IHP. “At Morning Pointe we have an ongoing commitment to do what we can for the greater community.”
The toys are collected at the Morning Pointe communities across the area and then delivered to The Samaritan Center’s distribution location, where qualifying families have the opportunity to pick out specific toys for their children for the Christmas holiday season.
