LEXINGTON, KY — Morning Pointe of Lexington has partnered with the University of Kentucky Center for Community Outreach Action Teams to plant a community garden in the senior living community’s courtyard. In exchange for a $250 donation, the residents were able to purchase vegetables, flowers, soil, plant food and gardening tools for their summer project.

Morning Pointe communities across the commonwealth have partnered with local farms, nurseries and CSAs, as the seniors and associates enjoy day trips to pick nature’s bounty. While some of the residents are pros at getting their hands dirty, others are newly experiencing the joy of gardening.
