Morning Pointe Holds Vols Pep Rally in Honor of National Assisted Living Week
Morning Pointe of Lenoir City and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lenoir City (TN) celebrated Purple Out Day with a pep rally in support of Tennessee’s favorite orange and white team—the Tennessee Vols! While Purple Out Day seeks to raise awareness for those who live with Alzheimer’s disease, the associates of the memory care community thought it would be fun to simultaneously celebrate the football team beloved by many of its residents.
“We had lots of orange and white snacks, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and a dance performance from the Academy of Dance Arts,” says Maggie Devaney, the Lantern Program Coordinator at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lenoir City. “The group of girls [from the Academy of Dance Arts] danced to ‘Rocky Top’ and then joined us for treats. It was a great time of laughing and cheering on the Vols! A wonderful end to our Spirit Week Celebration for National Assisted Living Week.”
