Residents and associates from The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Franklin (TN) worked together to create “baskets of sunshine” for the employees of their local post office. These baskets, filled with a variety of snacks, were put together by the memory care community’s residents and included a “thank you” tag that read “Let our care shine down on you!” In total, 11 residents delivered the baskets to the post office.
“The post office employees were so appreciative and the residents were so happy to be able to spread sunshine in the community,” says Brittany Morton, the Lantern Program Director at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Franklin.
Resident Sue Harris agrees. “We have been able to share a good deed today and that makes
me happy!” she says.
