Under the leadership of Life Enrichment Director Derek Combs, the residents of The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Louisville (KY) have embarked on a grand adventure across the various State Parks in the Kentucky area. Their latest escapade took them to E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park on the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky, where they enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of nature, history, and conversation.
“Residents got to see beautiful scenery along with animals roaming through the park. It was more than just a sightseeing trip, as we got to learn history regarding the park,” says Combs. “Our lead SRNA [senior registered nursing assistant] Allison Dodd guided us on our lovely tour.”
