COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. — Intergenerational and international fun was enjoyed by the residents at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Collegedale who celebrated the Chinese New Year with students from Southern Adventist University’s Asian Club and Standifer Gap Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School.

The SAU students performed the famous Dragon Dance to bring good luck into the new year, while others played a variety of games from various Asian countries, including China, Indonesia, Japan and South Korea.

As part of the Meaningful Day™ program, the seniors at the Alzheimer’s memory care community enjoy sharing new experiences and making memories with kids, teens and young adults from local schools and universities.
