Lenoir City, TN- September 2, 2014- As Morning Pointe of Lenoir City gets ready to celebrate five years of service to area seniors, four residents have been there from the beginning. Together the entire Morning Pointe family will mark the milestone on September 9, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. along with the opening of the assisted living community’s new Bistro. “We have come a long way and have so much to be proud of as a community,” said Pat Caron, regional vice president of operations for Morning Pointe. “And to see some of the same faces, residents that I helped move in five years ago, makes it all the more special.”
Alma Siedentopf and Margery Granat are the young ones of the original four. Nora Gillette and Bleeka Miller are 101 years of age. “This place is mighty good,” smiled Miller. “Best place in Lenoir City to live.” Margery couldn’t agree more. In fact, she chose Morning Pointe because her good friend Bleeka was already a resident. “This is a nice place to live,” said Granat. “And the people who visit me think the same. The personnel is very accommodating from the top to the bottom.”
Now the four ladies will be able to enjoy a new addition to their long-time home, their very own Bistro inside Morning Pointe of Lenoir City. The coffee-shop styled bistro is located in a newly renovated area of the community, providing residents with an open space to socialize with friends and family. During lunch, residents and their guests can enjoy more delicious meal choices including specialty desserts, soups and sandwiches. It’s all part of the resident meal plan and dining program at Morning Pointe. Senior Food Service Director Matt Wilson helped make the Bistro come to life by creating the special menu. “I love the new Bistro concept at Morning Pointe and I was thrilled to be a part of building the menu and offering our residents, along with their families and friends, more delicious food choices.”
In addition to the new Bistro, Morning Pointe of Lenoir City is now offering 16 new efficiency apartments. These are slightly smaller for the more active resident who spends most of their time out in the greater community. The ease and comfort of the smaller space means a smaller price to pay.
“Come see all of the changes and celebrate Morning Pointe of Lenoir City as it marks a milestone,” said Caron. “We are excited about our improvements and touched by the residents who have been a part of our community from the beginning. Together we will continue our service to seniors for generations to come.” Morning Pointe of Lenoir City 5 Year Anniversary Celebration, Tuesday, September 9th, 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
