(November 10, 2021) – Cristy Winkler, RN/BSN, has been named executive director at Morning Pointe of Richmond. Winkler will oversee daily operations at the personal care senior living campus located at 1400 Gibson Bay Drive. Morning Pointe Senior Living, a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based senior healthcare services company, owns and manages 35 Morning Pointe assisted living, personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states. Morning Pointe was founded in 1996 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow.
“With Cristy’s extensive experience in the senior living industry, I have no doubt she will usher in a new era of excellence here at Morning Pointe of Richmond,” said Heather Tussing, chief operating officer at Morning Pointe Senior Living.
Winkler joins Morning Pointe with more than 30 years of experience in the senior living industry, both in skilled nursing and personal care. She began in the field as a nursing assistant at 16 years of age and has since made her way into various management roles, completing her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2021 at Eastern Kentucky University.
“I feel that showing love and compassion to the senior population is not a challenge but an honor,” said Winkler. “I am passionate about serving others and making a difference in the lives of those I serve.”
In her free time, Winkler loves spending time with her husband, and their two children and grandchildren. They are an active family, always camping, fishing, and going horseback riding together.
