Morning Pointe of Frankfort (KY) volunteer Nancy Ault and gives a manicure to resident Carolyn Bowles on Gorgeous Grandma Day. Volunteers and Morning Pointe associates alike teamed up to give the personal care community’s female residents manicures and makeovers in honor of the holiday, designed to celebrate the accomplishments and abilities of senior women. “I think our residents perfectly embody what it means to be a ‘gorgeous grandma,’” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Vanessa Damron. “It isn’t about being a literal grandmother—it’s about being strong, wise, regal, and confident. They’ve taught me that you should be your gorgeous self no matter what your age is. Maybe you’re a grandma, maybe you’re not. It doesn’t matter. You just need to own that grandma attitude and celebrate!”
