Lauren Jackson of Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky introduces the residents and families of Morning Pointe of Louisville (KY) to a great horned owl at the personal care community’s Alaska-themed family night social event. Jackson and her team showed guests a peregrine falcon, a kestrel, and red-tailed hawk in addition to the great horned owl while providing them with educational information about the birds’ diets, habitats, and traits. All four birds are native to Alaska. “We are so grateful to be able to partner with local educational organizations like Raptor Rehabilitation in order to teach and entertain our residents and families,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Lisa Hagerty.
