Morning Pointe of Russell residents Carolyn Graber and Judy Mollett and volunteer Silvia Saunders watch as resident assistant Teresa Saunders (second from right) shows them a turtle from the personal care community’s turtle courtyard, affectionately called the “Turtletarium” by residents and associates. The courtyard is currently home to over 40 turtles, and Saunders has become their self-appointed caretaker. She now shares her wealth of turtle knowledge with other curious residents, family members, and neighbors from the larger Russell community on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 2:30 p.m. during “Teresa’s Turtle Talks.”
