Morning Pointe of Lenoir City, Tennessee resident Helen Shipley recently marked her 100th birthday. Friends and family organized a parade outside the assisted living community, where they celebrated Shipley with colorful signs and wished her well as she watched from a safe distance behind a glass sliding door. She was even able to meet her newborn great-great-granddaughter during the parade. “Now more than ever, it is so important for families to observe these important milestones,” said Morning Pointe life enrichment director Camie Entrekin. “It has been a heartwarming experience working together with residents’ family and friends to find safe ways for everyone to celebrate together.”
