Pastor Jack Hice of Marble Plains Baptist Church in Winchester, Tennessee, Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford (TN) resident Hiram Lemay, and Marble Plains Baptist Church member Cathy Wallace proudly display some of Lemay’s artwork, which he recently sold to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. Throughout the month of November, a collection of canvasses and clocks hand-painted by Lemay were available for purchase at Marble Plains Baptist, as Lemay was a volunteer associate pastor at the church for many years before relocating to the Chattanooga-based assisted living community. All of the funds raised from the sale of Lemay’s work, nearly $700 in total, were donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. “The members of Marble Plains Baptist really showed their love for Hiram and the cause he supports. When Hiram talks about the donations he received from the church member for his art, tears come to his eyes. He feels so blessed!” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Holly Holcomb.
