Morning Pointe Resident Receives “Welcome Home” Party
ATHENS, Tenn. — Bill and Alda Stewart, Morning Pointe of Athens residents, have been married for 67 years. But Bill’s need for skilled rehabilitation separated the couple for three months — longer than they had ever been apart in their years together.
When Bill’s therapy was over, the associates at the assisted living community welcomed him back with a party, inviting his family and his wife to meet him at the door with balloons, smiles and memories for a lifetime.
“It was great to see them reunited again,” says Shelby Wilson, life enrichment director at Morning Pointe. “The way their eyes lit up was priceless. It’s worth every moment to make our residents feel special in every way.”
Morning Pointe celebrates residents and their unique needs as part of the life enrichment program.
