Morning Pointe Resident Returns to Charitable Organization She Helped Found
Recently, several residents from Morning Pointe of Brentwood (TN) visited Graceworks Ministries in Franklin, Tennessee to volunteer for the morning. Some of the residents from the senior living community sorted and tagged clothing donations, readying the items for sale, while others worked in the food pantry. It was an especially sentimental trip for resident Peggy O’verby, who helped found Graceworks over 20 years ago through her work with Brentwood Baptist Church’s Benevolence Team. After a morning of meaningful work and fellowship, the residents took a stroll through Graceworks’s thrift shop, clothing store, and food pantry.
“Peggy couldn’t believe how much the organization had grown since it started and how many…lives it has touched and [in which it] continues to make a difference,” says Chris Phillips, one of the Life Enrichment Directors at Morning Pointe of Brentwood. “It was a special morning for all our ladies as they worked alongside old and new friends to serve the less fortunate of Williamson County. All of our ladies are excited to go back to Graceworks and were in agreement that it feels so very good to serve your neighbor!”
