Morning Pointe of Hixson (TN) residents Jane Blevins, Aline Hannah, Vera Sachleben, Dick Tonsberg, Jay Thomison (front row), life enrichment director Christine Rivers, business office director Taye Contreras, and volunteer Bethany Owen celebrate scoring free entrees at Chick-fil-A. In honor of Cow Appreciation Day, an annual promotion event during which Chick-fil-A franchises nationwide offer free entrees to anyone who visits the restaurant dressed as a cow, residents from the memory care community made a trip to their local Chick-fil-A in costume, ready to partake in the fun and free chicken. “Every year, we look forward to Chick-fil-A’s Cow Appreciation Day for a delicious meal and good times. It’s a day where we can embrace our silly side, sport our colorful spots, and dress up like cows! We even got a visit with the Chick-fil-A cow mascot!” says Rivers with a laugh. “Cow Appreciation Day has become as much of a Morning Pointe tradition as it is a Chick-fil-A tradition, and we are so grateful to Chick-fil-A for showing us a great time!”
