Morning Pointe of Powell (TN) residents Eloise Hodge, Pat Sparks, and Jo Rosenbalm were among the seniors at the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community who spent the past few weeks fashioning dog toys out of old T-shirts and making homemade dog treats to donate to the Young-Williams Animal Shelter in Knoxville. In addition to homemade gifts, Morning Pointe residents also brought store-bought dog toys, dog food, cat food, and cat litter to the shelter. “The residents were very interested in learning how to make the toys and treats and worked so hard to make them,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Taylor Collins. “They loved being able to help out our furry friends in the community!”
