Morning Pointe of Spring Hill (TN) resident Lois Pratt shows off the very first zucchini harvested from the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community’s garden. “This is the first year we’ve planted a vegetable garden, so picking that first zucchini was an exciting moment because it demonstrated that our weekly garden club’s continuous hard work was starting to pay off,” says Morning Pointe life enrichment director Emily Gleaves. “The residents really enjoyed planting our small vegetable garden in the spring, and seeing it finally bear fruit—or vegetables, rather—was very satisfying for all of us.”
