LENOIR CITY, Tenn. — Morning Pointe of Lenoir City and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Lenoir City had the mountains on their mind, crafting a Christmas float dedicated to the Smoky Mountains for the Lenoir City Christmas Parade.
The assisted living and memory care communities wanted to pay tribute to the families and businesses affected by the Gatlinburg fires. Reading “Our [hearts] go out to the Smokies,” the entrants expressed great appreciation for the popular tourist location, looking forward to future visits as the city rebuilds.
“Our residents and associates have fond memories of Gatlinburg,” says Bridgette Bonifas, community relations director at Morning Pointe. “And so through this project, we wanted to show our love and support for those impacted by the fires,”
