CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Residents at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford and other community members dressed to the nines and posed for cameras during a very special fashion show.
What made this fashion show unique? The “models” could spend no more than $15 on everything they wore — head to toe. With thrift as the theme, the “Diva on a Dime” fashion show challenged 25 participants to visit area secondhand stores for a complete wardrobe worthy of the runway.
After all purchases were made, everyone put on the glitz to prepare for the show. As each person walked the runway, brand names and total prices of the outfits were announced. The thriftiest of them all was an outfit valued at no more than $3.
As part of the Life Enrichment Program, the residents at the assisted living community enjoy a variety of fun, themed activities with family, friends and guests.
Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford is the region’s choice for quality assisted living in Chattanooga. For more information, call (423) 296-0097.
