Like many, the residents of Morning Pointe of Lexington-East (KY) are taking time in the new year to set new goals and challenges for themselves. Together, the personal care and memory care community’s residents have decided to devote more time to doing good works for others in 2019. Their chief goal is to create two no-sew fleece blankets per month for a total of 24 blankets by the end of the year. In December, these 24 blankets will be donated to Arbor Youth Services, a youth development center in Lexington, Kentucky that enjoys a continued relationship with Morning Pointe.
“Our residents are thrilled to be able to work toward something that involves putting a smile on children’s faces,” says Amber Wagers, the Life Enrichment Director at Morning Pointe of Lexington-East.
