COLUMBIA, Tenn. — John Helling, resident at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Columbia, took a gondola ride on the waters in Venice — without leaving the memory care community.

Helling’s “trip” was made possible with 3D virtual reality glasses — an idea by Britney Hill, interim Lantern program director.

As part of the Meaningful Day™ program, the assisted living and memory care community embraces technology, encouraging seniors to experience the latest apps, devices, social networking and other advancements.
