DANVILLE, KY — Morning Pointe of Danville resident Dennis McHugh has no problem getting his hands dirty, especially when it has anything to do with furry and four-legged friends at the Danville Boyle County Humane Society. McHugh enjoys spending his time volunteering at the shelter, keeping the puppies and kittens cleaned, fed and comfortable until they find their new forever homes.

He is one of many residents at the senior living and memory care community who inspired a yearlong community service campaign called “Make Your Mark.” The seniors, associates, volunteers and family members, along with partners and nonprofits, come together to help parent company Morning Pointe Senior Living reach its goal of 20,000 hours of volunteerism in 2017.
