FRANKLIN, Ind. — During a trip to Walmart, residents at Morning Pointe of Franklin wandered into the aisles of the store’s Christmas Shop as your average seniors, and left transformed into Christmas elves!
“Look at how much fun these old people are having… look at their smiles… they are all giggling,” says Department Manager Bethany Lorees to another Walmart associate. “Why don’t we all have that much fun? I am just loving standing here and watching them.”
Dressed as if they were from the North Pole, the seniors brought the season’s greetings and plenty of silliness to the store associates.
As part of Morning Pointe’s life enrichment program, the seniors celebrate the season wherever they go, as they take trips to their favorite stores to prepare for all of the holiday happenings at the assisted living and memory care community.
