FRANKFORT, KY – Ornate wreaths, gift baskets, and Christmas trees big and small were auctioned off to bring holiday cheer to local families in need this season.

During Morning Pointe of Frankfort’s Festival of the Trees Silent Auction, residents, families and guests raised $1,200 to benefit The Simon House, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to single mothers and their families. Food and drink were also served to raise money for the cause.

“We here at Morning Pointe love helping and giving back to our community,” says Vanessa Damron, life enrichment director at Morning Pointe. “Our residents find joy in making a difference in the lives of others.”

The senior living community pays it forward, participating in community service projects and volunteer activities all year around.
